Just picked up a Addams Family and I am stoked and even three days later I still can’t believe I have it
It’s a project but is mostly here and has some things going for it for sure
I need the DMD driver board as there wasn’t one here and was wondering if RD was my only option
Thanks

Quoted from gac:

Welcome to the club! There are other options other than RD. The DMD boards can be found. Do you need a DMD too or did you remove it from the speaker panel?

Thanks!
Just need the board
Would like to know what my options are
The DMD was also not here but I have one my brother gave me from his twilight zone
I was thinking color but first I want it to play a game before I start getting ahead of myself
*Edit
Actually get it to start a game

Quoted from Neal_W:

After poking around I noticed they call it a 'cabinet switch'.
https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/SW-1A-192

I found the switch my bad I should’ve been more clear I need plug and wire with it I was hoping that I could buy it together I guess not

Quoted from gac:

Switch cover at the top of the plastic ramp I believe.

I have no clue looking around can’t see where it would go

#3703 3 years ago

Only part I can’t seem to find trying to get my game going is the cable assembly for the bookcase
Have ordered the thing assembly Marco is out of stock on the bookcase one
I guess I will have to make it unless someone would know where to find the cable?

#3708 3 years ago

Was wondering if anyone could snap a pic of where the bookcase motor wires up and where it goes so I can make a replacement
Thanks

Been working the last month or two to get my Addams back to life
At this point everything seems to be working BUT F901? blows at start up every time on the extra flipper power board
It’s a new board
Was wondering if anyone had any insight as to why or where to begin to look
Thanks

Quoted from CLEllison:

I'd check to see if you have:
Diode backwards on upper flipper
Diode grounding out on upper flipper

Thanks! looking now

#3758 3 years ago

I haven’t played the thing yet still working on it getting real close
I believe maybe the upper flipper writing is wrong?
Can someone confirm ?
Very appreciated thanks !

Quoted from CLEllison:

Wiring is correct. Diode positions are also correct. You mention it's a new board. Why was it replaced? Was it missing?

No it was there I just replaced it because it was doing it on the old board
Hooked the old one up again last night same thing on both

#3762 3 years ago
Quoted from CLEllison:

Test your coil with a multi meter to see if it specs out. If it does I'd suspect it's your fliptronics board at fault. You can try troubleshooting it but honestly I'd just replace it. My time is worth more than the cost of a new board.

Done.Thank you for the guidance I am very close to playing this beast and am still blown away I even own it
It’s been a long couple months I will get it going

Was hoping someone could offer some insight
Finally, after three months I got my Addams working 100%

So I thought.

Thing stopped working,I switched the EMI board and he worked for a couple days

He stopped again, now I am thinking I just didn’t get a bad EMI board in the mail I’ve gone through two in two days

I noticed in switch test that when I press the left out lane it triggers two beeps, two switches are activated, the other one being “thing up opto”,the next and last switch in that row

I am convinced right now that this is where the problem is

I guess I would need to trace the wire from the outlane to thing looking for breaks or a short?

Very frustrating any insight would be appreciated thought maybe someone has seen or dealt with this
