Quoted from golfingdad1:Thanks Russ.
Any body have tips on removing these side rails ???
Appears there is only one nut and bolt near the flipper button, and adhesive holding the rail down . But it's on GOOD.
I have used this with good success. put painters tape along the bottom edge of the rails, position the knife at the bottom of the rail and hammer it in enough to break the seal of the tape. Do this along the length of the rail and it will come right out. Note that there are two models of that knife, one with a flexible blade and one with a stiff blade, you want the latter.

Quoted from TicTacSeth:Just put my Black Friday purchases to work and have been putting in the LEDs for inserts, GI and backglass. Have more GI to do, but put in my first set of spotlights too and I feel like it’s TOO bright. Both of these pics are with the LEDs and spots in, but it feels more like the brightest one in person. I just started looking up pinstadium from some suggestions on Facebook, either that or might drop from the 4LED in the spots to 2LED? Anyone else have thoughts from theirs, or have I just been looking at lights too much for one day? Ha

What kind of bulbs did you use in the spots? Looks like a clear dome cool white. 4 led bulbs are way too much. Try a frosted warm white in one or two dmd. The lighting should be more subtle I think, not a flood of light.
Here’s a pic of the back area lit up with a 15” 5v purple led strip. Sorry I don’t have a broader pic of the game.
Quoted from MrCleanHead:Im looking to brighten up the playfield without going the pinstadium route. I was thinking about adding some LED spotlights. Im sure someone has done the leg work on this and was wondering if there was any info/pics that gave good results.
Quoted from TheCnyPinGuy:Mirror Blade question
I have an extra set that came off a newer style Stern but had No Hole for the cabinet hinge bolt
Will will bind up ? Are they universal for all games or do they make a with hole for Bally WMS games as Sterns are recessed and B&W have the Allen Key plug
You can’t install them in bw if no hole is cut, not universal.
Sorry to interrupt. We have been out of bear rugs for quite a while as our source dried up. We now have a new version available that we have designed. It is more durable and detailed than the previous version. For a limited time, we are running a sale on them for $40 (normally $62) plus $0.99 shipping. These are now available on our website.

Quoted from Miguel351:I used to find these all the time on eBay when I was actively looking for them. They're Playmobil Bear Rugs from an Indian set of some sort. People sell them separately all the time. I bought one, cleaned it up and painted it with some Krylon Fusion and it was good to go. Mounted it with some adhesive backed velcro so it could easily be removed for servicing the ramp or whatever and since it's mounted to a piece of stainless steel, cleanup would be a breeze, if the next owner of my TAF didn't want it. I didn't do any LEDs in it as it's just to something I wanted to do at the time. I think I was all in at around 10 bucks, at the time.
I just checked eBay and there are a few on there. Apparently prices have gone up a bit on them, but not by much. Kinda proves that for those that want these mods and want them with LEDs, 40 bucks is a pretty good deal considering the time it takes to modify them and parts to add to them.
Yeah, we used to use those, but they do not take paint well. If you just make it for yourself, it’s probably fine, but when you ship them painted and then have others handling them, the paint tends to crack and peel away, even when primed first. It was a pain to sell so we stopped. This new version is made in white so no painting is needed and it’s more rigid, overall better quality.
Fwiw, we offer a lighted version for $40, it’s not the playmobil bear as they don’t take paint well, it’s one we make ourselves.
