Does someone have a count of the number and size of the hex metal spacers? The list in the manual totals 4 but there's at least 6 on the playfield. I've searched 100 different ways but haven't found any info.
Thanks in advance.

Need some direction on a Thing problem:
When our 3 machines are powered on at the same time, Thing will stop and drop the ball shortly after picking it up. All are plugged into the same outlet. Thing is fine when the other 2 machines are off. I'm assuming it is an issue with marginal power that is pulled down by the other 2 machines being on.
Should I be looking at Thing power or overall power first?
Beware the ebay NOS translites...
Backstory: I've had bad luck with translites, original in my machine is scratched, I bought a crappy NextGen on ebay a couple of years ago but never installed and never returned it, was then looking to buy an NOS one on ebay that was 10 miles from my house but seller wouldn't allow an inspection so passed on that one, bought another NOS off ebay but by the time it got from CA to NJ it was beat up on the ends too bad to use.
So fast forward to a week or 2 ago, saw another NOS pop up on ebay. All the right description, seller confirmed it was NOS and screen printed. Looking back, the pics were a suspect but seller had perfect feedback so I went for it. Immediately knew it was NextGen when I got it, not a bad one, had clear registration but washed out when lit. Seller said it was in with other NOS translites so he assumed it was NOS too. Utimately returned it for a refund with no issue.
Not going to out the seller here or in PM. Just want to give a heads up to those also looking for an NOS translite. If it looks to good to be true...
My graveyard has a big chip of paint missing. It's behind a pop bumper so it hasn't really bothered me but for a quick fix I'm thinking I could print out the area on sticker stock, cut it to shape, apply and cover with mylar.
Anyone have a scan of this area they could share?

They need new flaps, flasher sockets, decals but I'm surprised some haven't moved yet.
There were 12 available, then 11, now 12 so I wonder if one was bought then returned.
These look like repros that are thicker than originals. I'm liking the tinted vs clear. With you on the all in cost though.
Quoted from dnaman:distributor would have the reinforced standup targets that I can use for the swamp shot
http://www.pbresource.com/pfswitch.htm
They have reinforced targets for the common trouble ones but not orange for the swamp shots. You'd probably be good for a long time by just changing them out with standard new ones.

That is the left bear kick ramp protector

In other machines that clip is used for holding a rubber cover that goes over the switch. See the TZ mini playfield switches for example. It is attached using the switch mounting screws with the mouth of the clip pointing up.
I don't believe it came stock on any TAFs but some people have added it.
Question for TAF historians:
I'm helping a buddy fix up his re-import (with a 7 digit serial #) that has some things different from mine (USA 6 digit #). His knocker is on the lower left of the cabinet, had an extra post in the rubbers at the swamp kickout that interferes with the ball, all the flipper coils look to be European but original looking at the solder work for starters.
Any thoughts?
