Quoted from Frax:

How the hell do you get to the back edge of the playfield to clean and take the ramps off? It's on a damn pivot nut and it's too close to the top edge to fit any tools back there.. is the only option to remove the damn entire playfield from the game? I'm not sure my wife and I can get it out, it's too bloody heavy.

To take the ramps off I just lift the field up enough to fit a screwdriver in, it helps to have somebody holding it for you.

Quoted from Frax:

Yeah, if only I had someone that was actually capable of doing that...

Go get a 2x4 and cut it to length, or an adjustable rod would work well if you could find something in the right length range. I use a stubby driver as well that has come in handy back there

Quoted from Chosen_S:

Hi, my lower left flipper stopped working (upper left flipper still working)...
pulled the fuse on the driver board (was a 4 amp) and replaced with 3 amp, the flipper activated once and stopped working. Pulled the fuse again and tested with DMM ok, put fuse back in.
Checked the action of the flipper, recently rebuilt and action ok
Checked the eos switch (new) and action good
Checked the button stacked switches, looks good
Went to switch test, switch test good on both left flippers
What do I go check now?
Thanks TAF club.

Checked for voltage at F101 on the driver board? How does the connector look on the flipper board? Check it for cracked header pins? J802 pins 9 and 8, also I would try a continuity test from those point to the coil.

Bah! Now color dmd is doing black and white and random dots. Anyone know what might be wrong ?
I pulled all the cables and reseated everything
[quoted image][quoted image]

Make sure you reseat the cable in the color DMD itself as well.

So I was going through some spare parts of mine looking for a DMD driver board when I decided to google this serial it turns out to belong to a Gold TAF. According to https://www.ipsnd.net/details.aspx?id=21202 the game as of 2011 belonged to Bobby Volk, anyone in the Kansas area know him? I’d like to offer to return it to the current owner.
