Working on my first system 11 game
It was a project when I received it and I'm rounding third base and trying to head home but this issue has me scratching my head so I hope someone can assist.

Game had a bunch of hacks to the aux driver board surrounding the relay
It appears that the relay was replaced previously and most of the pads for the relay were gone.
I removed the relay and cleaned up that area best I could and I stitched up the lifted pads and jumpered 2 traces for the relay.
I also reflowed every header pins solder joint on the cpu and removed and cleaned and then flowed fresh solder on the aux driver board pins, I'm anal and previous work looked sloppy

After that work was completed I went into diagnostics and for the solenoid 1 through 8 test the coils were firing for both a and c side tests no flashers for the first 8. Never heard relay tick on at all for test number 12

Moved to the cpu, and replaced a bad Q8 and its pre driver and retested
Same results coils firing twice for a and c sides with no flashers for 1-8

It has to be the logic then right?
I just replaced U18 and retested

Now this made me laugh.....

After retesting now I only get flashers firing twice for a and c sides test 1 through 8 and now there are no coils...
I walked away from this one for the night.

Any advice?
I need a little Help with this one.....

Does the output of U18 pin 6 toggle on and off like it is supposed to?

Q8 could have gone bad again, would need to be retested to be certain. Check on the power driver for D23, proper orientation and working. If you've got a bad diode, that could send a spike back to the transistor. Disconnect J2 and ground the A/C select line at J2-pin 5, which should give you a relay click.

Thanks to a friend who walked me through how to test the outputs of u18 with my meter
Put in solenoid test and ran number 12 (relay test) over and over
Never toggles high and low, she is steady low
looking upstream at u10 now
