Hi there!
Just got a Supersonic that's in excellent shape. We've noticed that the audio is super tight/normal during play, but the game over song and the boot up song both "hang" on the last note. sort of like what you'd hear if there was interference, but there isn't interference. Like i said, the machine is dead quiet during play (except when the noises go off).

I reseated the plugs into the sound board, and made sure the ground was good.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks!!

Has the board had the capacitors changed?

Have you tried altering the pots? Round black discs that move left to right. If unsure can you post a pic of the board?

Have you tried removing the board from the backbox? Let it hang. I have mine isolated as grounding it causes noise issues.
Yesterday I noticed my Sorcerer making various unwanted noises whilst in attract mode, removed the board from the mounting studs, so isolating the board from the ground plane and much better.

You probably just need to turn the sustain pot.

If the sustain pot is not working there is something wrong with the sound board and I think the Bally 560-3 repair manual covers this fail mode well if you want to try and work through it.
