I have a Bally 'Strikes and Spares' and Bally 'Star Trek' that are a bit of a mess and I'm working on the power modules.

I have the schematics, but would someone with these games please post a close up picture of the power modules 20-pin J3 connector so I could see the wiring. Its the one right next to the transformer.

I need a picture for each of the games. They don't seem to be the same even though both AS-2518-18, nor match the schematic.

Thanks!

The only difference between the two is Strikes and Spares has a white-yellow wire at pin 13 that's used to power the knocker in the head. Star Trek doesn't have a wire there since the knocker is in the cabinet and powered from connector J2 instead.

J3-1 Green wire (thick)
J3-2 White wire (thick)
J3-3 Red-Black wire
J3-4 White-Red wire
J3-5 Grey-Blue wire
J3-6 Blue wire (thick)
J3-7 key
J3-8 Orange wire (thin)
J3-9 Yellow wire
J3-10 Orange wire (thick)
J3-11 Red wire (thick)
J3-12 Grey wire
J3-13 White-Yellow wire (Strikes and Spares only)
J3-14 White-Black wire
J3-15 White-Blue wire
J3-16 Black-Blue wire
J3-17 White-Brown wire
J3-18 White wire (thin)
J3-19 Red-Yellow wire
J3-20 White-Orange wire

Thank you so much for the post. Yes, pin 13 on Star Trek was confusing me - there's no wire and the manual has it connected and states "SOLENOID BUS":

Here's the 'Strikes and Spares' I'm dealing with:

Ah yes, the traditional permanent repair - some of us have seen that to some extent or another with those rectifier boards

Pins 8 and 11 have a double wire for my test fixture. Normally only one.
