Hello there. I'm new to the pinball world and looking for some info.

I just picked up a Star Trek pinball machine needs some work. I plugged the machine in and there was no noice/sounds. Some of the lights on playfield came on some didn't. The head box score screens have some light but do not display any numbers. I put a quarter in and the machine did nothing.. All the rubber is dry rotted and probably need to replace the fuses.

Where should I begin?????

Any info or thoughts would be appreciated.

To take off the battery is it safe to use wire cutters?
