I am trying to figure out how to restore this part. is this thing plated? The aren't available. If anyone can help me figure out how to clean this up that would be awesome!

I just soak them in Evaporust, come out looking great.

They are zinc plated. Soak in Evapo Rust.

Don't leave it in too long or it will turn black.

Yes, I have the hinges re-zinc plated all the time. I usually leave it in a 45 degree open position. Once I get it back, I have to flex it open and closed a few times, it then it’s back to normal.
