This is a new to me games, X's & O's that I have been working on. There has been a number of repairs that I have made to this pin so far to get it to a point where I could play a few games as I work the bugs out. That is up till now, At start up the coils lock on at power up. I turned the game off and on a few times and the coils did not lock on anymore until I turned the game off to make another repair. I can see if just one or two locked on but all of them at one time? What should I look for?

My Power Play did this when I 1st got it. My problem was in the rectifier board. A new one corrected the problem. Bad rectifier??

Did you work on the game before all the coils locked on?

The way the solenoid decoder chip works it can only turn on one solenoid at a time. So seems like it would take the decoder chip or a wiring mistake.

The three CA3081 on driver boards is a transistor array each control 1/3 of the solenoids.

Yes, When this first happen I was just testing the Aux Lamp Driver board, where I just got done removing the old solder on the header pins with my Hakko and re soldering them. (which fixed the problem), I also bulletproofed the solenoid driver board a few weeks back.

Odd, I just turned the pin back on and the solenoids did not lock up at all
