Clean the rivets and fingers on the ball count disk with some alchohol on a small rag. Afterwards, you could lightly brush across the rivets with a scotch bright pad too. Go gentle, your not sanding to remove layers. Do all aforementioned with power off.
Get some Superlube and put a small amount on rivets. Small.
