I have several old Bally solid state machines to restore and the biggest problems so far, are the lamp shrouds on the lamp boards (Not the electronic lamp board, but the one that has the lights on it, just behind the backglass). I have: KISS, Centaur and Space Invaders to restore, but most of the "shrouds" are either missing, or mostly missing. What does one do to fix this, so that it doesn't look like an elementary school project?

Are you talking about those plastic rectangles that surround the flasher bulb(s)?

Do you have a picture for reference?

Not the plastic ones; the pressed wood ones. Here is the KISS lamp board that I want to restore.

I suppose that if I were to need the plastic ones, those wouldn't be too difficult to obtain, or make.

If I had dimensions, it could easily be 3D printed.

    Quoted from HHaase:

If I had dimensions, it could easily be 3D printed.

that was my thought. I thought I've seen the smaller ones 3d printed already. I would think KISS is a popular enough game, there should be a recreation of some sort out there.

Cool! Now just PM me your mailing address, so I can send you a sample.
I'll get one printed up this weekend.

Many years ago, I had a cabinet maker make these blocks for me to fix the same thing on a
    Bally Evil Knievel.

I need some type of light divider for old Bally light boards also. Pinball Life has some but I don't think they have the ones for 4 sections.

    #13 3 years ago

Yeah, I just noticed that Marco has one for KISS already as well.

just be mindful of the home 3d printed ones and using bulbs not leds as the heat will cause home printed ones to soften, sag and potentially rest on the bulb as the printing is partially hollow. Solid printed ones are better but dearer.

happy to help out if needed.

I don't see the one for Bally Kiss on Marcos site. At least not the one that goes on the upper side of the light board.
