Use flush cutter to knife into the edges, twist counter-clockwise to start the spiral nail backing out... then grab with mini-vise grip pliers and twist out the rest of the way. For added protection, hole punch a piece of Mylar and place over the nail so you don't accidentally scratch the rail.
