I noticed that side rail nails are available in 3/4" and 1". The originals are 5/8" and I fear the 3/4" would be too tight. Does anyone know where to get 5/8" ones?

Quoted from JoeGrenuk:

Nip off, say, an eighth?

Always possible but not ideal for new holes. I was hoping someone sold them in 5/8".

Thanks Cash I will ask Steve if he thinks they are the same size...I need to place an order anyway!

Also, how do you hammer them in without indentations? What tool.

Vid I am not sure I would like the look of rails held on with screws...can someone please post a picture of it.

Thanks,
Dave

Yes I think the screws look good...much better than I expected. Thanks to everyone for their responses.
