This is a dedicated Bally Sente Snake Pit. Its in the (SAC)1 "FRIDGE" cabinet that weighs a ton due to the metal frame inside and thick plastic panels on the outside.

So not too many of these floating around. I think 1 in the US and 1 in Europe.

I restored 100% of the artwork which was no easy task.

Its perfectly functional and super clean.

    Beautiful!

    #14 6 years ago

That's sweet. The only time I ever remember seeing this game was way back when it first came out at a Showbiz Pizza. I couldn't tell you any other games they had there but this one. I really remember liking it and hoping to play it again and I never saw another one. There was a restaurant / bar we used to go to that had a dedicated Sente Hat Trick for a long time and I loved playing that too. Those were the days.

    Another freakin' beauty resto.

Never played the game but she looks like new. wow.

    #16 6 years ago

Quick question, where can I get some of that flat yellow grounding cable. I have been looking online for it forever.

    #17 6 years ago

Nice job. I worked for a route operator until 1985. We threw all of the Sente cabinets, boards & all into the dumpsters in '84 as the games were dogs and the cabinets were not worth converting to other games.

    Thanks!

    #25 6 years ago

Dang I only have a Chupacabra,Yeti and rat race pins. So close it's just my luck.

    Beautiful restroation!!

    #26 6 years ago

Wow! Fantastic restoration! Too bad the Sente system hit a little too late in the golden age of video games to be effective. Truly innovative idea. What I really liked about the Sente game system was that it was flat and was almost like voting booth. This meant that you had PRIVACY when playing a game, which helped you blot out the real world and focus on the game.

This is what the current generations will never understand about the original golden age arcade games. Each arcade game had its own personality, and gave the user a different world to play in; but the games were still simple enough that you had to, in part, use your imagination. The best arcade game of the golden age would have to be Discs of Tron environmental, as that was the first game that truly made the player feel like they were in a different world.

I'm pretty sure i played one of these at the first Kong Off in Ritchie Knuklez NJ arcade. There was a write up describing the ultra rarity.

    Beautiful restoration!

I spent a ton of time with my head buried in those B/S fridge cabs back in the day. Great games. A couple years ago at CAX, there was a guy who had a fridge cab that he was changing out the games in them every 6 hours or so. My favorite was always MiniGolf.

Does Snake Pit have the missing kids screens?

    #36 6 years ago

I haven't seen missing kid screens.
