It's very rare to find one of these that doesn't have at least some backglass damage in the form of bubbling & peeling as well as some lift-off and paint separation (especially at the bottom). Rolling Stones was probably the worst Bally SS backglass of the era for these issues. Nitro Ground Shaker comes in second. It's a shame because Bally Rolling Stones is a beautiful collector's piece and a prized possession for Stones freaks.

It looks like one backglass has severe damage and has been taped and the other has bubbling at the bottom. Usually the playfields are decent on these pins and your nicer one looks to be in great shape. Cabinet looks above average too.

Probably not too bad of a bad deal for someone looking for one of these.

Does someone make a quality repro for one of these with a worn backglass then?

Repro PFs aren't available because of licensing issues.

Two issues with this machine have probably prevented anyone from legally reproducing playfields, playfield plastics, or backglasses.

The first are the licensing costs of the Rolling Stones trademark. That in itself hasn't totally prevented the reproduction though. After all, the licensed Kiss machine artwork has been reproduced. The main issue with Bally Rolling Stones is that they only made 5,000 or so of these machines versus 15,000 Kiss pins so there's not as big of a market for the product if someone were to make the investment required. However, because the backglasses were so prone to peeling I believe it would be a worthwhile venture for someone to look into. I would think they could sell quite a few backglasses. Probably a lot more than some of the other low-demand titles I've seen that have been done.

I'm not 100% sure about the copyrights of the Stones artwork though but it seems like it would be obtainable. I got lucky and purchased a mint NOS Rolling Stones backglass during the "Great Recession" at the end of 2007 on eBay for $350.
