    I have just imported 2 Rectifier Boards to the UK (240Vac)

    1 Board came from the USA (115Vac) (top pic)
    1 Board came from Europe (220Vac) (2nd pic)

    The Bally schematics shows using different Varistors for the incoming Vac line EU/UK or USA but says nothing at all about the Varistor on the Rectifier board?

    And it looks like the Varistors from each board are basically the same voltage... see pics. I was expecting to see the EU board with a higher rated Varistor..??

    So my query is: Does VR1 on the board need to change to a UK based voltage i.e. a 270Vac Varistor? or do I just leave the ones on there as the schematics don't seem to care?

    The varistor on the rectifier board is for the solenoid voltage which is 43VDC no matter whether you're in Europe or the US.

    The varistor in the lower cabinet soldered on the mains EMI filter needs to be of the correct voltage type for the country of operation - see below:

    These are two separate varistors.
