uh, is it normal to have resistors and even a molex wafer pin connector to become extremely hot when machine is on? I am troubleshooting electronic intermittent problems right now and connecting and disconnecting things and noticed my connector (#22 on pic) was almost too hot to touch and the resistors (R1 &R7) were as well. This is a 1977 Lost World. Board # AS-2518-18 I think?image.jpgimage.jpg

Short answer: Yes.

The resistors are there to place a load on the bridges. They get hot. That's why they are constructed as beefy as they are.
The connector you reference almost always has at least one burned pin on it.
For long term reliability, rehabbing the rectifier board with new high current header pins, and replacing the pins in the female housing with trifurcon pins is recommended.
