Aladdins Castle Ball Count Step Up (resized).jpg

I have Bally QB that functions perfectly when on two players. However, when it's on one player you get two balls per one ball increment.
- On ball one the one player light is on, you shot the ball and it scores and drains as expected.
- Rather than advancing to ball two, the one player light goes off and you get another ball. That ball scores and drains as expected.
- One the next ball the ball count advances to ball two and the one player light is back on. Again, you get two balls per one ball count increment.
It functions in this sequence all the way until game end.

Appreciate any suggestions.

The fault will be in the 2nd player relay. It will be a dirty normally closed switch.

Sorry, it’s the 2nd coin relay, not 2nd player relay.

On a one player game the Ball Count Unit should take two steps when the ball drains to skip over player 2's ball. Yours apparently doesn't. Here's the schematic for Aladdin's Castle which may be similar to yours.

The circuit that should send the 2nd pulse to the Ball Count Unit Step Up solenoid during a one player game is in the red box. Either the Score Motor switch or the 2nd Coin relay switch probably isn't closing properly.
