I have a 1978 Bally Playboy that I'm resurrecting after sitting in storage for about 25 years. I've gotten everything working but the grotto kicker appears to be weak. With the machine set at the proper play angle the kicker sometimes takes 3 or 4 attempts to kick the ball back into play. I see the coil is an AN-12-2600 but before replacing the coil was wondering if anyone had other suggestions. It appears to be firing normally, just not with enough force to drive the ball back into play.

Clean the mech and check the solenoid driver board for bad solder joints.
Check the A3J5-10 molex connector for bad contact.
