I'm restoring a playboy and swamped the playfield to a new clear coated one.. I took alot of pictures before taking wiring apart and switching stuff over. Can someone take a picture of the wires from front and back .. there is 2 black wires I thought go together and shorted out and took out the fuse out. It's toward the back on left.. thanks guys

Thanks for posting.. see those blue wires ..there are 2 pair of them in back.. are they together going to ground..

Those are not going to ground. They appear to be going to the braid which is I believe a low voltage source for the controlled lighting. The “ground braid” is not a ground but actually the positive if you will. The lamp is controlled by opening or closing the ground. Hope this helps

I need help on this wiring . I'm getting confused.. my blue wires are shorting out when you connect them together. I need someone to take a another picture of the wiring playfield the whole thing . I mess something up. I switch playfield and now all my coils and flippers don't fire . I have all new boards install from Dave . I did all connectors going from CPU etc.. I wish a pin member live close by..thanks guys

Here you go. I have also included a picture of the two blue wires that you speak of. They are wired as I stated in my earlier post. Hopefully these will assist.

You’re welcome. Hate when a game I have has an issue. Even though they rarely get played, I want them right! Just curious, did you take pictures if your machine prior to dismantling? This is always good practice as our minds can play tricks on us. I took a slew of pictures when I swapped playfields on this game. Never did it before and was apprehensive but it turned out well. Always, lots of pictures. It’s also a good idea to insure that the game is playing right before you take it apart. Don’t want to duplicate an issue.

Wasn’t sure if mine was good or not. Bought it without playing it and was told there were minor issues. Got lucky I suppose. Mine was not messed with from a wiring standpoint so I just duplicated what I had, replaced what I needed to including all wiring connectors on the boards and it went well

Let me know if you need anything else. Maybe the issue is with the wiring inside the head at the boards?

I want to thank you GPS. Your pictures help out the problem with playfield lights.. and the rest of problems I had with coils. I repin every connector on every board. What pain in ass ..it took 6 hrs to do them all. And guess what. Everything is great now and works....

Glad I could assist. Good work on getting it figured out!!
