    Ok I have a 8 ball Deluxe LE . rebuilding and i don't think i have ever had a bad transformer but it may be my 1st. So here is what i have set to AC on dmm Plug J5 , pin 1 black reading pin 7-8 =7.31 ac , pin 2 =35.84 ac , pin 3 = 87.4 ac , pin 6= 59.1 ac and pin 9 26.33 ac . On plug j6 pin 1 black, pin 5 = 10.51 ac , pin 3 = 22.43 ac, pin 6 = 33.40 so I'm guessing the are way off , Anyone ?

ok Looking at the schematic for that if you are measuring at F5 then you always have to measure on pairs:

    J5
    1 or 4 to 7 or 8 should be 6.5 VAC
    2 to 3 170 VAC
    6 to 9 49 VAC

    J6
    1 or 4 to 2 or 5 ~9 VAC
    3 to 6 14 VAC

How are you voltages at the test points?
    Black lead on ground
    TP1 6.5 VDC
    TP2 230 VDC
    TP3 11.9 VDC
TP4 is AC don't bother if any of the GI works
    TP5 43 VDC

    Ok i did it wrong then , Just checked it 1-7= 7.3 ac, 2-3 =194.3 , 6-9 = 53.7 om j5 on J6 1-4 =10.58 , 3-6 15.46 , when power board is plugged in nothing else tp1 7.7 dc, tp2 191.2 dc, tp3 55.7 dc, tp5 46.8 dc it's a new Gulf board.

    Quoted from davkonw:

    on J6 ... 3-6 15.46
    tp3 55.7 dc

You're most likely getting a false reading from your multi-meter at TP3 since the AC voltage going into the bridge circuit is ok.
Hook up a load between TP3 and ground, something like a 12V lamp and remeasure the voltage at TP3.

Never ever encountered a bad pinball transformer. They are built like Ft. Knox!!

False reading on the meter , All hooked up and giving the correct voltage. That's why you need a better dmm. I have 2 and they both did this but a old analog one did the trick.
