MPU J1 can fit on a LDB plug and it will fail a PIA test because of it. Double check that.

lamp driver board top right connector will fit where the MPU top left plug will go. Mixing those up results in your same symptoms. I just helped someone who did the same thing the other day. Double check you got the connectors hooked up right.

maybe? Is everything else working okay? I'd step through the test modes and check things that way to see where you are that way.

The high score and/or last game played data could have corrupted data in it from a dead or missing battery. When the game tries to display that bad data it just results in them going blank. Test button on the coin door will get you into audits eventually. You clear corrupted data by selecting that audit and then pushing the NMI button on the MPU or the center coin switch which will reset the audit back to zero. Then the start button advances counting audits, like replay levels. Audits 16 and past you just have to use the start button if corrupted. Hold it down until you see 00, 01, etc... check the manaul for detailed information about the audits, but 16 past is pretty safe to set them all to 03 for all games.
