I recently got a black pyrmid.
Got it all working and was able to press the test button (inside the door) to go to the lamp test, display test, coil and sound test.
Pressing severl more times brought me to other options (high sore, replay etc,)
now tonight I can get to the lamp, display, coils and sound but then nothing ?
what am i missing here?
The board has no battery (or nvram) if that makes a difference .

Thanks!

You should be able to keep pushing the coin door diag button and get to audit mode. It is the step after switch test.

So what happens when you try and advance past the test mode? Nothing or does it lock up?

I know,
It was working two nights ago but now it goes past switch test and then nothing,
So it seems like its locked up.
Do you have a list of all the audit options?

Thanks,
I'd still like to see what they are.
Anyways I cant get to the options anymore.
What is the red switch on the cpu supposed to do?
This is my first bally mpu game

The red switch on the cpu is the audit clear button. It shares the same function as the center credit switch during audit mode which is to clear the currently displayed audit back to zero (except for audits 16 and over).

For audits sixteen and over set them to '03' with the start button. Sometimes you get junk values in these audits when the ram is corrupted by lack of battery or switching between games with NVRAM. To clear them out sometimes you have to cycle a few times with start button until you see normal values (01, 02, etc.).

The function of these audits is typically in the manual. The flow of the manual is a bit confusing as it seems to jump around talking about audit mode and dip switches. Read page 4, 6, 8, and 12 of the black pyramid manual where it talks about "self test position XX". Most games I have found it is is pretty safe to just set them all to "03", but the manual should have the info if you dig into it.
