Anyone know if this Molex is the 1.58 MM series? From GPE: 02-06-1103 (female) and 02-06-2103 (male).

Or is this 2.13 MM or 2.36 MM.

Molex connectors drive me nuts. This connector is getting warm and I want to replace the pins. I have several pin removal tools.

Thanks

0.062" (1.58mm)

Take care of those connectors - finding replacements can be a bugger.

Unfortunately Ed I need a pair of these, anything you can help with?

26-01-3158 looks to be one of the plugs in black, 26-01-3157 looks to be the other.

Could you confirm Ed? Of course now I'd have to find them if correct.

Ah- this looks promising.

The connectors in Post #1 photos are 4x6 --> 03-06-1242 (receptacle) and 03-06-2242 (plug).
The connectors in Post #3 photo are 3x4 --> 03-06-1122 (receptacle) and 03-06-2122 (plug).

Those connectors look fine to me.

I'm making harness from scratch, hence the need.

Thanks Ed, ordered everything from you this morning. Is there an alternate for the 02-06-1103? You and everyone else seems out.

Of course right after the order goes in I remember something else!

I need these 5 pin connector housings for a Centaur, they are playfield connectors for various coil activation that runs to the J2 SDB connector so the playfield harness can be disconnected. I need the Male and Female 5 pin housings and contact pins Ed. Is 03-09-1054 one of them?

LMK and thanks!

Really hard to tell from the photo if that is a 0.093 or 0.062 connector.

0.093": Receptacle = 03-09-1054 or 03-09-1052, plug = 03-09-2057.
For plug (outer connector) - measure overall length across face of plug. Should be 1.18" from end to end and 0.34" wide.

0.062": Receptacle = 03-06-1055 or 03-06-1056, plug = 03-06-2054 or 03-06-2055.
For plug (outer connector) - measure overall length across face of plug. Should be 0.89" from end to end and 0.31" wide.

Note that these 5 pin connectors are now obsolete and getting tough to find.

I'm fairly sure they are the larger connector but will try and look at a few other Bally pins to determine. The harness I have they were butchered out.

Those original Bally connectors from the early 80's were always .084 for every connector in the cabinet and back box.
Only the coin door plug was .062

Here is a picture of a 4 pin Kings of Steel, I'm thinking its the larger size Ed. Its four pin and about 1 inch even.

0.084" MLX series.
That receptacle is 50-84-2040.

The MLX series can be found here:

Someone was nice enough to take picture of actual Centaur, its SMALLER.

5 wire, only 3/4 wide.

China quality no doubt but for $6 I'll roll the dice. Hedge my bets and toss out the terminals and use real Molex.

Post #16 - I hope you have better luck with imported connectors than I did.
I have 2500 15-pin Taiwanese equivalents to 03-06-1152 and 03-06-2152 that are useless. They sure look like the Molex parts, contacts look the same, etc. But the Molex contacts will not fit. Will probably resort to buying the Taiwan versions of contacts specifically for these since 'something is better than nothing'. Also the standard 0.062" contact extractors won't work with the Taiwanese connectors... "wonderful!".

In post #15 -- measurement shown for length of backside of connector instead of face of connector. Molex only shows dimensions of the connector face. However, based on your 3/4" -- that matches the dimension of the 0.62" connectors that I have in stock. The 0.093" connectors would be about 1/4" longer.
0.062" Molex Receptacle = 03-06-1056 and plug = 03-06-2055. Both are tough to find as true Molex parts.

So what JJ44114 said in post #6 above is correct -- all the connectors so far have been either 0.062 or 0.084.

I did some digging, found one Molex part number for $14 a pop shipped but not the other half so pointless to go there.

$6 worth throwing the dice.

Your connectors were right on the money, thanks Ed!

In this instance I got lucky Ed, the parts were spot on.

No plans on making this a habit buying from Ebay, figured just dumb luck this time around.

#21 2 years ago

Did you try them with both Molex brand contacts and an extraction tool? That is where I ran into the problem.

I did not but then again have no plans on extracting them either. I did put them side by side and they looked mechanically identical but didn't take a micrometer to the pair.

Just for people's interest I recreated the Molex 03-06-2242 Female and Male sockets with professional 3d printing which Molex discontinued.
