They also owned gyms. Really diverse company i guess!

Says "Bally, PA" at the bottom of the label. I'm guessing the company, which is still around, was named after the town and has nothing to do with the pinball company. The script logo is probably just a coincidence.

Idk maybe same...lets not forget Bally records.

Yes, it's a company in Bally, Pa called Bally Case and Cooler. Think they're out of business though.

    Wow. That’s crazy.

The Bally logo is registered so I doubt they would let them use it if they weren't related.

Where’s MrBally when you need him

I wrote a comprehensive history of Bally Records in PinGame Journal #101. A few issues later, Tim Arnold did the combined corporate histories of Seeburg, Bally, Williams, and Midway. IIRC, he explains where Bally Case and Cooler fits in.

For a while in 1980's Houston TX they had a Bally's restaurant. The layout was maze-like with some 3/4 height walls if I recall, and there were little alcoves throughout that had a video game setup for play. They gave a couple complimentary tokens at the table when you sat down. I had kept one for many years but can't find it now.

For those from Houston it was in the shopping center in the northwest corner of Richmond and loop 610. Can't remember when it went away but it was likely in the mid 80's.

I was just a kid then so I can't remember specifically if this was a "Bally's Tom Foolery" location or not. Wish I could find the token as it would seem to say so, but it's long gone.

Very nice. I would never had guessed they made records.

Kind of funny as one of my favorite pinball arcades in the 90s opened across the street from the Bally gym. So I would work up a serious sweat playing a game like Judge Dredd and look over and say this Bally is a better workout than that Bally.
