Have had trouble with them the whole 2 yrs I have owned it. The targets seldom register when hit. I have cleaned them thoroughly with alcohol etc. but no improvement at all. Is there anything else I can do? If it means anything, it seems if you hit them slowly, sometimes they will register as hit, but even then.....

Just to confirm, I am talking about the ABCD on the right side of the playfield. Although, truth be told, even the KISS in the corners of the playfield are somewhat intermittent.

Very frustrating, can anyone help?

Wow, could this have been my problem all along? Scores are really affected as well as game play when you can't get credit for direct hits. I'll order the caps, and we'll go from there. Thanks a lot!

I need to ask this. What exactly does the capacitor do (in this case)? Like I said, I am a novice, so I really don't know this stuff. Pinkid, you say it makes a difference, and that has me optimistic, but I still don't know what they will change.

Thanks again, this will be the first thing I try. Should I be surprised if there are no caps on already? I mean if it's good for the game, why wouldn't someone have already put caps on?

Not sure LTG, I haven't looked yet. They may well be there. So you're saying these aren't an enhancement, they should be there? So if they are there, does replacing them with new ones make a difference?
