Bally kiss coil issue

Just restored a kiss, and the kickout is doing something odd. I have the new solenoid driver board that pulses lights when the coil pulses. The q4 is flashing red that says a short. It is the kickout coil. Ill start a game, the coil works, it will fire once like normal, and then it says a short. Its a new coil, i dont think its bad, but could be wrong. Could it be anything else? The diode?

Its wired under the playfield, so it doesnt touch the apron. Possibly backwards? Ill have to look again. I thought i wired it right

Ya, the power goes to the band, i have yellow at the band. That ties in through a fuse and then to the flippers it looks like. I will test tomorrow

Ok, i looked back at my pics. I guess this is the original coil. Wired the same way as before. I thought i replaced all the coils but i guess i was wrong. It could have been broken before, since the game didnt work before the restoration. If the diode is bad, would it lock on? If the coil is shorted, would it lock on? Or would it pulse once before the new board caught the short?

I will try both of those ideas in the morning. I didnt really think it could be the switch, but ill check. Ill also change the diode and check that

Issue solved. It was a shorted coil. I thought i had replaced all the coils but i forgot that one. Now it works correctly
