    I want to know how this ball return from bally was attached in the machine. I want to use it as a kickback in a homebrew pinball. But Im not sure how they were attached, and how the ball is lying in it before shooting. In attachment some images of the assembly.

    Three holes for three screws.
    May be for the ribs they made some cuts in the wood to havr space for moving the mechanism.

    The holes for screws are clear for me. But I asked myself for what these two rips for. I think you are right with that. Thanks a lot

    The ribs guide the ball so it rests on the saucer switch. Mount the kicker so the 2 ribs are inside the saucer hole. The saucer switch pokes up just behind the ribs in the wider end of the slot. Maybe someone with a saucer game can take some pictures.
