Bringing a joust back to life the first issue I feel I need to address is the two can play relay. It continues to trip and seems to be the main issue affecting my game right now.

I have cleaned all swiches inside cabnet and head (except player 1 reels and playfeild )

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

I'll need to see a high quality scan of the schematic from (for example) Staples ($2) or Kinkos ($6)

Sorry but that was a mistake. This forum is full of posts from people who tried shotgun cleaning & adjustments, and caused more problems than they were originally trying to solve.
What to do instead: Slowly and carefully diagnose one problem at a time and then fix only that.

I'm in the process of cleaning all swiches ... I just thought I would get a head start on my repair ... Game was dead when I started so I believe I'm heading in the right direction ... I will get better scans .. didn't realize they came out so crappy.

When you apply power to the machine does it just start a 2 player game without hitting credit button ?

or when you hit the credit button for a 1 player game the "2 can play" stack trips .... when I manually close the "multi-play" relay, 4'th up on the right hand side.

If I manually close the "multi-play" relay BEFORE starting a game , the score motor runs constantly

I agree a nice *.PDF scan on IPDB would be nice
