The Bally Grand Slam and Speakeasy used the awesome, but very unique "flyaway target assembly." (See pic - HOMER, 10 J Q K A) Someone gave me a Grand Slam (nothing more expensive than free! heh), but the posts supporting the assembly were smashed. This feature is central to the game.
After looking high and low with no luck, I thought pursuing 3D printing made sense. But I needed good parts, so I reached out to people with these 2 games in their collection. Corey CaptMonkeyPants was amazing enough to loan me his parts.
Then I contacted a local 3D printer to reproduce the posts, and the targets themselves since a few people were looking for those also. Not inexpensive, but worth it.
If anyone needs the posts or the targets, please let me know. I will produce and sell them very reasonably, just to offset some of the design costs.
Here are a few pics along the way. A million thanks goes to Corey CaptMonkeyPants again for the parts loan!
If you have a game that you can't find parts for, ask your pinside brethren for help and give 3D printing a try!
