I just acquired a bally gold ball. Machine when turned on mpu flashes as it should and displays come on along with sound. Can add credits and push button to start a game but no solenoids fire at all. Can manually touch each target and sounds work and points add up. Any ideas on what I need to look at next? I'm new to trying to work on them. Thanks

Do the flippers work but no other solenoids? If so then check the fuse under the playfield first.

Flippers do not fire either nor does the ball kick out

Does the flipper relay on the solenoid driver board engage in power up, you should here it click in.

Not sure I'll start there. I'll update once I do

    Fuse under the playfield perhaps?

Make sure both the balls are in the game

    Update
    Both balls in
    Play field fuse looks fine
Do not hear anything kick on on solenoid driver board though

Check connector at A2-J1 pin 7.
That is the connection to the playfield for the +43V.
A2 is the rectifier board on the bottom of the cabinet.

Do you have 43V at the coils of the playfield?

Sounds familiar to my issue. Mine was a cracked solder joint on the rectifier board

If you have a meter, I think it is time to do some voltage checks.

I'll check these and report back. Thanks again for the help

Thanks for the help guys. It ended up being the gold ball kick out solenoid was burnt and had burnt a diode. Machine is now fully functional and being played regularly.
