Not sure where I went wrong here but I obviously messed something up. I've had this machine working for the past year and just put in new cabinet flipper switches and rebuilt the chimes. After installing the new flipper button switches I can no longer start a game, it was set to be on Free Play but I've undone that while I try to troubleshoot. Coin mech switches will not add credits and neither does activating the coin and credit relays but they do pull in when activated. I've added credits manually on the credit wheel but still can't start a game. I've replaced all fuses with new ones and disconnected the chimes Jones plug just to narrow down possible issues with that.

One thing I noticed while changing fuses is the 15 amp fuse in the middle of the block is warm to the touch while the others are not, is that normal or does that indicate a fuse that has blown or close to it? Wondering if I should try to put in the old switches to see if that gets it working again. Thanks for any help with this!

Is the coin door jones plug, plugged in? can you manually trip the coin relay and see if the game fires up from there?

Thanks for the quick suggestion! Yes coin door Jones plug is plugged in and if I trip the coin relay it pulls in and holds but does not add a credit. Odd because everything was working fine right up until I changed the flipper button switches.

Even though I have the wires soldered in the same orientation(yellow wires to short leaf) is it possible they need to be switched for the new flipper button switches? I got them from Marcos since they were listed as compatible with the game, they look the same except that the lug position is reversed so the shorter leaf switch lug is on the right instead of left like on the originals. Probably wouldn't make a difference just trying to think of everything ha.

Well that'll teach me to not overlook the simple things. Soldered it back on and all is well.

Change out the fuse blocks. The metal tabs on Bally’s always loosen and break

This is the ultimate suggestion for all Bally EMs... buy a block from PBR, they come attached and you can pop them apart as needed... they're like 1.25 a piece. I do this first thing, without fail.
