I could use a hand as I either have a defective build from JLPCB, or a batch of faulty Cyclone II's. Would greatly appreciate the ability to test my components to see what is going on, such a shame to have 5 boards built and none working properly.

I have the same issue with each FPGA board. Board will boot on the bench, and I am able to get each board to boot in the test game (Six Mil $ Man), but MPU resets as soon as the ball hits either inlane or middle drop target. As long as none of those switches close, the MPU is stable and works fine. I am using an 8GB microSD card.

    Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

    Quoted from RandyW:

This does not sound like a board or chip issue. You have a short in your switch matrix.

Just back from being out of town, and frankly I agree with all of you on your assessments. However, I have an Alltek MPU in the game that works fine and none of those switches cause resets on that MPU when actuated. I have a strikes and spares coming into the shop, will test and report back.

Quick update: The problem is the same on SnS, unfortunately. Something is amiss as according to @bontango, the hardware ver (1.10) I am running has some issues. Going back to the drawing board with 1.07, in the meantime Quench or bontango would you or anyone else want these boards to troubleshoot? I'll cover postage and you're welcome to them if you can get them going.

Thanks to @bontango, a fix was found. If you, like me, built these using 1.10 there are some inherent problems that will present as described. I am doing another build of 5 using 1.07, and if anyone needs anything please let me know I am happy to help. Thanks to all for your input!

    Pete
