Finished the full restoration on this Bally FLASH GORDON pinball machine. Countless hours of labor were involved. The cabinet was fully repainted, a new playfield was installed, every metal piece was polished, etc., etc. Custom stencils were made matching the artwork from the original. Red color was matched by the paint shop from an unfaded spot in the interior of the backbox. Many people prefer to repaint the cabinet use a very vivid red, but the original color is more “pinkish” (the same is the case for the mustard yellow that is often replaced with a metallic gold color).
