When i power up my flash gordon pin, it boots up fine and the displays come on, after about a minute or so they go out, checking the voltage on the solenoid driver board at TP4 i have 230 volts dc and at TP2, the voltage starts at 170 volts dc and slowly decreases, when it hits about 140 volts, the displays go out, anyone have any ideas

If TP4 is still constant, then you have something breaking down regulating the 190VDC. Spray some coolant on Q22 and Q23 to see if the voltage comes back while they are being cooled.

Sounds like a problem with the HV regulator. Are the regulator capacitors original? If so change them out as they are due.

Thanks for the replies, the easiest thing to do would be to just swap out the solenoid driver board and i have several spares, the problem is someone, not me, did a hack job on connector j3 and soldered a wired connector directly to the board and it is no longer plug and play, so it looks like i have to rebuild the hv section of that board or rewire the connector

The connector pins likely need replaced anyhow.
