Quoted from vid1900:

Bally made those 2 different length post screws for their 2 different sized plastic posts.
The 1" posts take the copper color ones, the 1-3/16" posts take the zinc color ones.
They plated them 2 different colors so techs would not mix them up.
Over the years, don't be surprised when the wrong sized posts are installed all over a playfield.
Many games used both size posts (like SBM around the horseshoe).

Exactly, I ideally need a short/long post map for Fathom to know how things should be.

Hour 29:

* get backbox bulb count down to 7-10
* installed a new apron and shooter lane gauge from Merf's Pins.
* adjusted trough switches once more to perfection

Next up:
* solve Cave problem not raising targets SOMETIMES
* solve 2x playfield random mode
* raise scoreboard for BG

My friend suggested I check for stuck coin switches. I may have found one. I no longer get the 2x scoring intermittently. But I'll need 100 more games to be sure. I think last game it went on for 5 seconds and turned off, and that's tolerable, but not going into a bad "mode" for the remainder of a ball...

I've tried lowering the angle on the saucer ball stops like I've been doing on Williams to get the balls to THUNK better rather than RATTLE around. Wouldn't you know it -- Bally just didn't design them at the right angle to help get the balls to lock into place. Perhaps someday, I'd like to replace these with Williams ball stops. Who knows...
