I have a 1971 Bally Expressway I recently purchased everything seems to work on it except the ball credits I have replaced the bulbs. I don’t know what to check as I am just getting into pinball machines. Any help as to where to start would be greatly appreciated, again thank you.

Not sure what you mean. Are you talking about the little window in the middle of the backglass?

No, at the bottom right hand side.

That's the ball count.

What does the Ball Count do and not do?

It doesn’t light the bulbs I see that the ball counter is working in the head and it is giving out the correct number of balls it’s just the lights don’t illuminate. I have installed new bulbs in the machine.

If the Ball in Play lamps don't light, Inspect and diagnose this circuit with Alligator clip jumper wires

I am glad to report I got the ball credits to work, finally. I took your advice and traced the wires back to the ball count wheel. I cleaned the contacts and found out the contactor arm wasn’t making good contact with contacts on the wheel. I readjusted the contact arm to insure better contact and all the lights are working fine, again thanks for your help on this.
