    I'd like to similarly add a switch to my '67 Rocket III at some point. To clarify, the best practice is to install it between the wall plug and fuse on the 'hot' wire, per the pic in #13 above (not per post #2). I've looked at later schematics e.g. Wizard where the factory installed switch was between plug and fuse (per post #13).

    Rolf, thank you for your thought provoking post, I'm aware of the Shut Off switch, the Rocket III photo on ipdb is actually my machine!

    The original factory on/off setup works for me in my home. My concern is when I take the machine to pinball shows it can't be turned off quickly easily by familiar means. I do like things original I'll give this more thought.

    Btw, my mobile phone charges wirelessly but good analogy
