Hi player1million
Do You have a schema ? MANY Williams pin are shown in ipdb.org WITH a schema - not so many Bally ...
4-player pins and 1-player pins are wired different (4-player pins have Coin-Unit and Player-Unit). I searched in ipdb and came to Ball-O, http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=368 and Fore, http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=917 - they have a schema. Unfortunately "Ball-O": part of the schematic near the transformer is missing. So I look at schema "Fore" ...
Please write about "having a schema Yes / No" - also: Are there paper tags in the pin telling You "This is Relay-XY" ?
When we work on a pin - now and then a washer / piece of wire etc. fells into the pin. We do not find it - the pin runs - we forget about. Then the pin is transported - we turn it 90 degrees, use a "sack barrow / sack truck" to move it around. Driving the pin it "hotters / shakes / rattles" - the "chunk / garbage" in the pin moves around -> we put up the pin on a new place -> PROBLEMS
Whenever You work / look in Your pin: UNPLUG the Line-Cord (DO IT) - You have access to solderpoints throughout the pin - You could touch 110VAC / 50 VAC / 6 VAC - all: Not nice.
What kind of a "Tilt-Relay" do You have ? AAA: In a Relay-Bank mounted (many relays sit side by side, resetted "all together", BBB: A Interlock-Type Relay (actually has TWO coils mounted - working hand in hand), CCC: A simple, ordinary relay, (((DDD: a simple relay, but with a 6VAC-bulb mounted))). ???
Do You have a "Delay-Relay" - Bally uses such funny Relays: http://www.pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=EM_Repair#Delay_Relay - see that #455-Bulb ?
Are Your "Tilts" sitting good (after transportation) ? Here: http://www.stevechannel.com/tiltmechanism.htm - Plumb bob hanging free ? LAST Picture: The "Ball-Roll-Tilt": The ball must be as shown in the picture. If the ball rolls foreward and activates the switch (on the other side): A "Tilt forever" ...
If You have a "BBB"-Type Tilt-Relay: Want to try (by hand): Switch the relay (push onto anchorplates) ?, if it is "AAA"-Type: Want to try to "Reset the whole Bank" ?
Do You have a Lock-Relay ? Does it pull after turn-on-the-game ? Do You have Credits on the Replay-Counter ? What happens when You push the Replay-Button ? (Coin-Relay or Start-Relay or Credit-Relay or Reset-Relay or Score-Motor) WHAT HAPPENS ?
Make a detailled description -> we will go through (1) plug-in Line-cord (what happens), 2) turn-on the main switch (), 3) press "Left flipper-button" (), 4) press "Replay / Start button (), 5), 6), 7) etc.
Greetings Rolf
