Bally displays acting up

When putting my Xs and Os into the display test I have players 1s display cycling 0s to 9s perfectly. However player 2, 3 & 4 all cycle 0s to 2s and occasionally gets to 3s and then repeats.

When in attract mode all displays show 00 for the last games scores then player 1s display briefly goes out, all 3 other displays show 2222222

Then as the current high score to date light comes on player 1s display shows the correct score and the other 3 displays show 230000.

Any ideas what the problem may be as I'm totally stumped!

are these original displays or something like a pinscore aftermarket? i put those in my mr and mrs pacman and had a similar issue. i pulled out my wiring diagram and found that some of the latch wires were punched down in the "not connected" pin and it was messing up the pinscore. i pulled out all wires on the not connected pins and everything was great. Hope that helps

No they're all the original Bally ones. The problem only started happening last night.

Just a thought based on what I was told in one of my posts - check all connections from J1 to the displays. I repinned mine, and the display problem went away. Good Luck

Here's my post title: BOPP Weird scoring issue - 0's for 1's, or N-1 for all

I installed an Altek MPU about 2 weeks ago and it was fine until a few days ago.

I'll check J1, thank you!

After checking J1 and every connector in the machine I couldn't find any issues, however I unplugged my ball/credit display (which hasn't worked at all since I've had the machine) all 4 of the player displays now test perfectly!

Congrats - It sounds like you found the problem.
