Hello,
Ive been attempting restoring a Cybernaut machine. I've replaced both lamp driver boards. There are two lamps broken that both happen to be labeled on the play-field as "Gate Open when Lit". One is on the outside left lane and the other is the first lamp at the entrance to the ramp/tube. In test-mode, one of them lights continuously and the other, only lights when I ground it. Neither flash as expected. When I review pinwiki and various lamp driver locations docs, I'm not seeing anything referencing gates. (https://www.pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Cybernaut#Lamp_Chart). What am I missing? I can't even start tracing wires. I'll take any advice on either of these problems! Thanks!

Is it possible that the lamp(s) in question are mechanically powered when the gate opens, instead of being under CPU control?

Yep. They are mechanically controlled by the gates. Todd Tucky demonstrates here at 7:45

DOH! That does explain it. Thanks to you both! I totally didn't consider that.
