Had an interesting issue on a Harlem Globetrotters. Initially I though the problem was just flickering controlled lamps. All of the controlled lamps would occasionally flicker or go out completely. I thought that possibly it was a bad ground, and in fact one of the ground wires was broken in the cabinet where it connected to the ground braid, but fixing that didn't solve the problem. While playing some test plays on the game I noticed that it would very occasionally slow down, for lack of a better description. For example when it played a series of notes it was like they were being played at half speed. The problem turned out to be a bad 4049 chip at IC14 on the MPU. Thought I would post this in cases someone else has the same problem.
