    Hi all,
New to me Bally Circus Queen was playing pretty well for a couple hours, but now the "advancing scores and or features" wont lock in. For example: Press red button, game resets/balls drop/ backbox motors are running... lights randomly blink then stop. I should now be seeing scores position... but nothing is lit (at this point the red/green/yellow stepper units are in the reset (0) position). No mater which button I press, they all react as the red button...If I hit the blue button ALL the lights random blink, if I hit the green button ALL the lights random blink. in any case at the end of the random blinking nothing locks in, nothing advances. The step after the randomizing that advances the scores/features is missing. The game was working correctly for a few hours so its a head scratcher. One other note... I did hit a blue600 payout (with the glass on ) and the problems started soon after that. I've reset the reflex unit... no change. Any ideas ? Thanks, Mark

Extra Ball Trip Relay #1 (mounted vertically on the back door, should be higher than EB Trip Relay #2), has a SPDT switch which controls the power to that circuit. Please verify that that is working properly.

If that looks good, hold the Mixer 2 relay closed and try again.

If that doesn't work, then there is a second SPDT switch on the EB Trip Relay #1.

If that doesn't work, verify that the 'open at top' switches on all of the score units are closed, and that the units are clean and step freely and reset crisply.

Portions of this path are used for steps beyond the first. You can test if this is working without going to the trouble of the above if you start a new game then manually step each of the score units to the first position before trying again.

There's a switch on Control Unit cam #8 that is likely involved as well since it is the initial step. Also control unit cam switch 7A.

Lastly, there's a normally closed switch on the play feature relay that prevents stepping of any score units. Is that clean and adjusted properly?

Something was marginal and is now probably just slightly out of adjustment. Hopefully a quick fix.
