Hi All,

Be grateful for some help on my Bally Centaur. The MPU shows 7 flashes at boot, but doesn't start properly. It shoots a ball out, then all the score displays show 7 flickering zeros, that's how it stays. Tried reseating connectors and redid solder to a couple of dodgy looking ones, but no effect. Not sure where to start with diagnosis on this one.

Hi, thanks Slochar, just had a quick play and if you fiddle with the ball rack switches then it starts OK. Should just be a question of switch adjustment now. I feared this was going to be a tricky one rather than having such a simple solution!

Centaur is OK now, it wasn't switch adjustment, a wire to the middle one of the 3 switches had become detached, so a quick solder resolved the issue. I've had Centaur for about 15 years and it now occurs to me that I did have a similar issue in the early days of owning it, so really should have sorted it out myself!
