Been helping a friend with a Bally Boomerang EM. Replaced the rubbers, fuse holders, rebuilt flippers, rebuilt the chimes and replaced the spinner. Played a few games and all seemed well.
Just got a message from from my friend, he said he played a couple dozen games today, both single and two player but now it just says "Game Over and when you hit the button to start a new game" it makes noise like it is going to start a new game but nothing happens. The ball doesn't pop out and Game Over light stays on.
It's not a fuse... lol
Stuck relay? thoughts?

Also, Need to replace one of the chime coils. It's a CC-31-2000. Everyone is out of it it seems. Is there a replacement for this coil?

Are there credits on the wheel? -or- Is the machine set to "free-play" ? http://www.pinrepair.com/em/index3.htm#free

Will dropping a coin or triggering the coin switch start a game?

Steve Young has that coil listed on his site ... worth giving him a call to verify http://www.pbresource.com/coilbly.html

Make sure to check the tilt mechanisms. Coin door back box tilt bob. If they are not in right position they will cause game over relay to trip. The two em machines I have require the switches be closed on tilt mechanisms in order not to trip game over relay.

If you have the manual, the startup sequence will be listed near the beginning.
If you don't have the manual, we need to know exactly what is being activated inside the machine when this happens. Does the score reset?

The coin unit and ball in play unit both must be reset in order for the game over relay To stay latched.
