Soooooooooo I bought a Bally Atlantis pin cause it was a "deal". There were problems I didn't necessarily understand, and being more of a "casual" pinball collector (if there is such a thing) I am running into some restoration issues I haven't really had to deal with yet.

First off, there are clearly some "hardware" pieces that have been replaced incorrectly. When I say hardware, I mean screws, metal posts, gates, etc... The problem is that I find it difficult to actually figure out the "part number" for a lot of these hardware pieces because the manual doesn't have them. For instance, there are 4 metal posts that sit on either side of where the game pops the ball into the wireform vertically. One of them is NOT correct (at least 1). How can I find the exact post I need on Marco for this? I posted a picture for it below.

Secondly, I got a plastic set for the game, but I realized after the fact that there are these built-in metal spacers on the slingshot/inlane plastics that I don't necessarily know how to remove or apply. Any help in figuring that one out would be appreciated. I did find a Marco part for the spacer, but it appears to be out of stock . Hopefully I can reuse the old ones...? https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/20-8926 . I also attached a picture to show them in place.

Thirdly... I don't know why I can't find this one... it's a little embarrassing to be honest, but what bumper caps are these???? I must be missing the part number, but I didn't see it on several searches. Are these crazy special pop bumper caps???

There was, recently, a complete restoration of a Bally Atlantis on this forum. Search for it and read it. It will have an answer to most of your questions.

Thanks for the suggestion Yves, I believe you're referring to this topic:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/the-bally-atlantis-that-i-discovered

Unfortunately it doesn't really answer any of my questions above specifically. Also, I was kind of hoping someone would be like "OOOOOOH, yeah I didn't know this either... all you have to do to find the specific screws/metal posts/etc on a game is go to <insert secret formula here>."

I did search through that particular restoration with no luck . Is there another one you were referring to?

No, unfortunately, that was the only one I could think of.
Of course there is the IPDB

https://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?any=atlantis&sortby=name&search=Search+Database&searchtype=quick#106

but I am sure you already looked into it.

Yeah, I always read these topics on restorations and they sort of gloss over a lot of these replacement parts. I was hoping I was just missing something really really obvious.

1) I think the Screw is correct but the post around it that holds the rubber is missing?
Btw. there are 2 'pushdown' washers missing (I dunno the english term).

2) I just drilled that bolted top part open with a dremel and reused them.

Check the Bally Truck Stop parts manual, it is a same year produced 6803 game that may provide part numbers for the items you wish to replace.

I was very lucky on my Atlantis and did not have to replace much of the hardware.

WOW! Why didn't they make a parts manual like this for all pinball machines?!?!?!

Unfortunately, I don't think the specific parts I'm looking for are there

Yeah, I actually do have 2 of the "pushdown washers" for the two top posts, I kind of figured I was missing 2 for the bottom posts, but possibly you're telling me there's only 2???

And yeah, I am desperately trying to find the correct post with the rubber grove in it, but I don't think it exists in Marco. I've searched all variations of "post" and come up empty. I'm kind of wondering if I could get away with using a double grooved post because they have those. Maybe I could just buy 4 and put an extra rubber on just cause it doesn't really matter.

This is the closest thing I could find (with double grooves):
https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/02-4423

I'm also still trying to track down these bumper caps. Mainly to figure out what screws go in them, because I'm missing a screw on one.

The place I marked in the photos is the only place mine had one at least. It makes sense to have them there, to push down the plastic, while the post is still 2 parts.

The Bumper Cap ist in two parts. Upper Part is 03-8277-9. I now a german shop where to get these but that doesn't help with the screws. (Just measure them and order them elseqwhere or go to a local store that sells this stuff? (Speech Barrier, don't know how you call these stores.))

I'll have a look!

Is that maybe just a metal spacer like this?
https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/02-4434

It sure looks so.

And for the Pop Bumper Screws, I'd try these ones despire the one in Atlantis are longer (maybe they fit anyway, it's not big bucks):
https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/4104-01020-08

Marco has that Bumper Caps also, so maybe you just call in and ask?

Awesome! That solves the mystery of the pop bumper caps, and collars but unfortunately the screw is still somewhat of a mystery. I was hoping it would pop up under "related items". I actually have a few spares of the one you mentioned above. They are, however, too short. The screws are a bit longer than that. I'll just take it over to the hardware store and see if there are any matches.

I find the screws when I search for "Pop Bumper Cap Screws long" (in german), so maybe you try it in english via google (my results are of course mostly german so I don't easily find it in an english shop).

Translates to: "Screw for Bumper, long 3/4" "

Should be findable...
