I asked the question- do we need a club for every game? The answer was yes - so here it it is for Bally Atlantis fans and owners. Mine was found in a warehouse and needed a lot of TLC. I also gave mine a new submarine.

This is one great club to belong to.

#3 10 years ago

I hope Neo joins the club. One outstanding, award winning game there.

#4 10 years ago

indeed, it won first in early SS at both MGC and MPE. Atlantis is one of the best out there. could be considered a system 11 as well. Which in my book would be tied with Swords of Fury as the best System 11's money can buy.

So has anyone seen any NOS plastics for this machine?

#14 10 years ago

I was wondering if anyone had any problem seeing the center drop targets on this game and thought of any solutions. It is probably because I am getting old and my vision is getting poor, but the dark blue targets and backlighting that casts dark shadows in front of them. If I don't have the room lights bright they are nearly impossible to see well.

green pop up post? WTF did someone find that. Never seen green before. When I restored mine I tried like hell to find a blue one, but couldn't.

#24 10 years ago

Anyone else doing a restore?

#25 10 years ago
Quoted from CaptainNeo:

He bought it from PBR .. ( Only had 1 ) Green is the Original .. By the way ,, $ 1250.00 would buy the Pin above

#26 10 years ago

Green is not the original. Actually red is. As you can see in the pics, I had 2 of them, as I made 1 super nice one from 2. and both were red posts. You can tell they were original as one was cracked. But only orange seems to exist anymore. Green might have been early production run? Did it have the flipper rubber up by the top right pop? There are 2 posts up there on early runs. One of mine had it, other did not. I choose to leave it in and get little more action in the pops.

#27 10 years ago

i ask myself why bally put a red pop bumper in this game...maybe for red alert?it look better with blue like captainNeo machine.

I have a NOS Bally Atlantis Translite 4 sale if anyone is looking

#29 10 years ago

Hello,

I need some help finding the correct parts.

I want to replace the sling switches. The manual lists them as score switch: A-4834-H and kicker count switch: B08734-1. I can't find these for sale anywhere. Is there another part number I should look for?
slings.jpgslings.jpg

Also the flipper switches are worn and probably should also be replaced. The part number is B-9989. I can't find this either.
flipper.jpgflipper.jpg

Thanks.

Looks like this will work for the sling switches, just double check it:
http://www.pinballparts.com.au/167-sw-1a-114-assembly-sw-1a-114sw-1a-114.html

For the cabinet switch, you can probably use any dual switch similar to this:
http://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/SW-2010A

#31 10 years ago

any sling switch should work. Pinball life has these. Just pick up some sets. All slings use them so it doesn't hurt to have some extras around.

It came with the rod only, need to get the spring and other stuff for it.

Ahh that's nothing. Looks like you got a good cab and BG, how's the playfield?

#37 10 years ago

Playfield is good, just dirty. Cabinet is faded some on the left side but not completely blown out. I'm tempted to remove the mylar as its coming up easy it seems, but I need to look into some insert decals if available if I do that, or find out how to make my own.

I have not found any insert decals in my search . If you find them I'd be all over that.

I have an NOS play field that has scratches on several inserts. This would be a wonderful fix. Please LMK

Quoted from Pinballer22:

When I pulled my Mylar, I lost about 3-4 inserts artwork. (just numbers/words...so not too horrified)

It was getting the rest of the glue up that took forever. (lots of Goo Gone, papertowels & raw, sore fingers)
(I had long, high air bubbled Mylar running across the playfield in multiple places that required it be pulled.)

#43 10 years ago

Here is mine...getting ready to start it tonight or tomorrow. Looks like start button has been hit a few times

Actually can see them in multiple pics of different machines...must have been a late change. Prototype owners might know more

Yup, early models have 2 posts there with a 3/4 ring around them. I had 2 games, one playfield with and one without, I used the one with and kept the posts in. Doesn't play much different without, and easy to remove if you decide you don't like them.

If you look at my pics earlier in this thread you will see them in by the right pop bumper.

I'll be waiting on these as well then, will be interesting to see how this comes out in the end.
