My 10k score reel is getting hung up at reset and sometimes during standard scoring (although not as consistent) . The coil fires intermittent and sometimes will stayed pulled in and wont release until several seconds after I turn game off. I had the same issue a while back and thought I took care of it with the end of stroke switch clean and adjust. The reel is completely clean and I cant get it to hang up at all manually advancing it. I took the reel apart no issues there. I checked jones plug but have continuity. All 1000 pt relay switches are cleaned and gapped and the reset relay is the same. 3 postion switches on 10k are ok. 9th position on 1000 is ok.

if the plunger is sticking in the coil after you turn the power off, the problem is almost always mechanical and usually gunk or wear in the coil sleeve is wedging the plunger.

also look for a mushroomed plunger - check if it has a sharp ridge around the end and make sure the coil stop is ok. If the coil sleeve is metal, see if it's distorted on the end opposite the coil stop.

the difference between you pulling in the plunger and the coil doing it is the coil does it a lot harder.

if nothing obvious, you could try swapping pieces with another reel and see when the problem moves.

Yeah no mushrooming on the plunger, smooth plastic sleeve no burrs. Springs were set up correct and no over tigthened screws, no gunk in sleeve. Took it apart again and its ok now. No idea. Thanks
