I removed the Spoon Switch assembly from the pop bumper on my Eight Ball Deluxe to clean the spoon and/or to see if replacement is required.
Well,...after cleaning the spoon, I tried to screw back the switch assembly but it appears that they screw into nothing. There are no nuts. It seem like there should be some nuts or does the screws, screw into the white plastic? Is this plastic stripped?
Tried searching this forum but found no info on this topic.

There is a plate that they screw into. When you screwed them out,the plate dropped down and the screws won't reach it.Just did an EBD playfield swap, that is how I know.

So the plate, that dropped, works on gravity and the screws then will need to be screw gently with the playfield laying flat to catch the plate? See pic with arrow showing where the plates should be?

Drop the whole bumper assy. out then you will be able to access the plate and screw the switch stack back on.

You can install the plate and screws with the assembly in your hand.

Yes, the plate with two threaded holes sits in that plastic protrusion.

If you installed new skirts you may need to trim off a mm or so. The new ones are slightly too long and can come completely out of the spoon and get stuck.

It will take some skill but you can do it without dropping the whole assembly.Take one screw out of the switch.Use the one screw to fish around through the plastic hole until you line it up with one of the plate holes.Screw it in enough to pull the plate up to the bottom of the plastic. While holding this with one hand, use your other hand to bring over your switch assembly. The switch assembly will be slightly rotated to the side enough that you can get the switch screw started into the plate. Now with the switch screw holding the plate, you can remove the first screw and swing the switch assembly in line. You get the rest.

Thanks for all the suggestions and help.
I slightly dropped the assembly and the plate dropped out. I then tucked the plate back in, keep it there with my fingers while screwing back the switch.
Now just going back to clean the all lights, switches, drop targets,...etc.

Make sure the skirt stem is centered in the spoon and that you can press all the way around the skirt without it getting stuck.
